Harrisburg Bike Share is proud to announce that Communities in Schools of Pennsylvania, the organization that spearheaded the bike share program, will be recognized as a finalist for the 2018 Nonprofit Innovation Awards, along with a select few charitable organizations in the region.
Communities in Schools of PA will be acknowledged as a finalist in the Brand Identity/Unique Marketing Campaign category for the innovation of the Harrisburg Bike Share. Launched in September 2017, the Harrisburg Bike Share seeks to bring a quick and easy transportation alternative to the city of Harrisburg.
Not only does this program engage the community, the Harrisburg Bike Share also expands the brand identity of CISPA by being one of the first philanthropic bike shares in the state of Pennsylvania. 93% of all generated revenue comes back to CISPA to assist with funding in the Dauphin County area.
Sponsors of the program include First National Bank, Maher Duessel, Philadelphia Insurance Companies, Temple University Harrisburg, UPMC Health Plan and Eagle Printing & Publishing.
